The USB to RS-232 CAT5 extender is a low cost hardware solution that will extend your RS-232 (serial / DB-9) by using a single standard CAT5/5e/6 UTP cable. It provides full-duplex remote access and control of any RS-232 protocol device. The kit consists of a local transmitter and remote receiver. With the USE-101, it is convenient to link RS-232 devices in any location you want and control them remotely up to 270 feet
